2 Months

Dear Alice-

The past two months have been quite the whirlwind!  You are growing up so fast, it makes me sad that your newborn phase is passing so quickly.  I am trying to savor every baby thing you do because I know you will be big before I know it.

Unlike your brother, you do not like having your arms swaddled.  You are already on a pretty good schedule at night.  You go to bed around 9:30 and have been getting up around 2:30 and 6:00 to eat.  After your morning feeding you like to come into our bed and cuddle.  You have had a couple random nights this week where you slept for 7 straight hours!  I really hope this means you are gonna be a good sleeper and its not a fluke.  You aren't on a nap schedule yet but I think its time to start getting one going.

You are such a big girl.  You like standing up, just like your brother did.  You started smiling at just 6 weeks old.  You have been wide eyed since you were born, and your so alert and aware of the world around you, its pretty amazing for such a tiny little thing.  You follow us around the room and are always trying to catch our eye with your smiles.  You rarely cry unless you are hungry-but your cry to SO loud.  You are already starting to use your voice and will say "goo" and get super excited after.

Oliver finally held still long enough for you to notice him and you smiled big at him.  I love that you two are so close in age and hope that you will be good friends.  I think you will!  Today you noticed Bucky and followed him when he walked around for a minute.  You love to look at the picture behind our couch and at the light at Nana's house.

Everyone comments on your chunky cheeks.  They are adorable and its so fun to have a chubby baby.  I kiss those cheeks a million times a day-I love them so much.  You still have your brown hair that you were born with-we will see how long it lasts!

I love you so much my darling Alice.  You are the perfect fit for our family and bring so much happiness into our lives.
